RECYCLED MATERIALS

Through our ongoing efforts, we challenge ourselves constantly to reduce our environmental impact by working with our client’s collection programs and our own in-house recycling center.

Our packaging and construction solutions are engineered to achieve from up to 100% recycled content. By teaming with different raw material suppliers, HFP is expanding our product line to include items like compostable PET, 100% recycled corrugate, molded pulp, and biodegradable polystyrene.

RECYCLING EPS

Wondering if EPS was sustainable? Check out these comments from our friends at the EPS Industry Alliance.

Is safe and healthy throughout its life cycle
Being made of 98% air, EPS does not contain harmful chemicals and is widely recognized as the safest choice in food contact packaging throughout the world.
Meets performance and cost market criteria
The versatility of EPS offers significant savings in design and development, product assembly, and distribution costs while delivering exactly the right amount of protection with its flexibility, strength, and structure.
Maximizes renewable or recycled source materials
The variety of uses and recyclability make EPS an extremely green solution to packaging needs. More than 113 million pounds of EPS were recycled in 2018 to be reused.
Uses clean production technologies and best practices
EPS innovation is an ongoing process to continue to minimize energy consumption through new techniques and practices.
Is physically designed to optimize energy and materials
The final EPS product material is converted to 32 times its original size, turning air into sustainable and strong protection. If all EPS were converted into corrugated, paper, or wood, power consumption would rise upwards of 560%.
